Ceri Wyn Jones

Ceri Wyn Jones is a celebrated Welsh poet, author, broadcaster, and editor with an extensive career in literature and education. A former Head of English at Ysgol Dyffryn Teifi, he later worked as an English-language editor at Gomer Press before becoming a full-time writer and creative-writing tutor.

He has won the National Eisteddfod Chair twice and the Crown once, with his poetry being widely published, studied, and performed across Wales and internationally. Ceri has contributed to
major literary projects, adjudicated prestigious competitions, and developed educational resources for institutions like the National Library of Wales and the Welsh Government.

He is also the long-time host (Meuryn) of BBC Radio Cymru’s Y
Talwrn, a competition showcasing Welsh poetry. Fluent in Welsh and English, he continues to inspire new generations of writers through workshops, lectures, and community initiatives.
