It feels as if we’ve taken one step forward and then two backwards during the last month. We thought we had removed all the pigeons from the vestry attic and that
the problem had been resolved. Alas they have returned. Shortly you might glimpse a drone flying over the rooftops as we try and see if we are able to identify
and block the pigeons’ access to the attic space.
In the meantime, another potential issue - this time bats.
On June 9th, a bat survey will take place, and we are crossing our fingers that we’ll be given the all-clear.
On the plus side, we have had bookings for additional adult learning classes and Welsh classes in the ‘Festri’. There are three Welsh taster courses in the next few
weeks specifically for those who wish to visit the Eisteddfod in August.
A few weeks ago, you might have passed the chapel and heard the 300 strong Eisteddfod choir practicing for their performances. In addition, two local choirs will also
be using the chapel to practice in readiness for their respective competitions at the Eisteddfod.
We can now apply for SEIS status. The applications should be submitted in June. It’s difficult for us to ascertain how long it will take HMRC to reply, possibly at
least a couple of months.
