We’re pleased to share with you that a tenant moved into the cottage at the beginning of March.
After Easter, we will be arranging weekly activities for adults living with dementia (maximum 10 initially) which will be facilitated by qualified ‘micros’. The sessions will provide respite opportunities for their unpaid carers to enable them to spend in whichever way they choose. If you are an unpaid carer of an adult living with early onset dementia and would like to learn more about the activities, please get in touch with Sue Lewis (Planed) 07442681883
An Adult Learning class under the auspices of Ceredigion Council will also be hosted in the vestry soon after the Easter break.
We have submitted an Expression of Interest (EOI) to CADW for a grant to repair and paint the outside of the chapel. We will submit a full proposal if CADW approve of our EOI. The CADW grant is dependent on match funding, so we have also submitted a proposal under the Transforming Towns funding scheme for this purpose.
We have also submitted grant applications to repair the toilet block which is largely unusable currently.
Hwb has now spent 70% of the income generated from the initial share issue and is able therefore to apply to the HMRC for a SEIS certificate. Once Hwb is in receipt of the SEIS certificate and associated reference number, these details will be forwarded to all shareholders enabling each individual to claim the 50% tax relief on their investment.
